Assistant Project Manager
Location: Financial District, New York City

A vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm based in New York City is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support its national portfolio of Class A self-storage developments. With thousands of active units and new projects underway, this role is integral to the pre-construction and construction process.

Role Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager will support pre-construction efforts for upcoming developments and assist project managers and field teams throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scopes of work based on construction documents

  • Compile bid packages and distribute to subcontractors nationwide

  • Source and prequalify subcontractors across various markets

  • Manage and respond to RFIs during the bidding process

  • Evaluate bids for accuracy and completeness; assist in bid leveling

  • Support negotiations and contract awards with subcontractors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials

  • Background in general construction or a core trade

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings

  • Experience with Procore preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly organized and proactive with strong follow-up skills
