We are a leading San Diego-based law firm specializing in healthcare law, professional liability, and civil litigation. With a strong reputation for representing medical professionals and institutions throughout Southern California, we are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join our dynamic and collegial legal team.
Represent physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals in all phases of medical malpractice litigation.
Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
Handle depositions of parties and expert witnesses.
Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
Advise clients on legal strategy and potential case outcomes.
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
Collaborate with medical experts and consultants.
Manage caseload with independence and strong attention to deadlines.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
Minimum 3 years of experience in medical malpractice defense or civil litigation.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and the California Code of Civil Procedure.
Exceptional writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle multiple cases with strong time management.
Trial experience is a plus.
Prior experience working with healthcare providers or insurance defense firms.
Knowledge of San Diego's local courts and legal community.
