Founded in the mid 1800's we are a large manufacturer of ceramics and glass applications that serves the chemical, gas, and environmental industries. Our headcount has increased over 13% the past 2 years as we continue to expand our product line and gain market share in our space.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
This role is a very hands-on individual contributor role
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Lead training sessions and workshops to educate employees on EHS practices and procedures.
Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring proper documentation and reporting, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Serve as the primary contact for government agencies regarding EHS matters and compliance audits.
Monitor and review environmental performance and implement initiatives to improve sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
Stay current with EHS legislation and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, and DOT requirements preferred
Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and safety audits.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to promote a strong safety culture.
Certification in EHS-related fields (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is preferred.
