Sr/Staff Engineer working on Generative AI (GenAI / Agentic) Systems

Hybrid ~2 days a week in San Mateo or Remote

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to spearhead our AI initiatives and drive innovation in our product offerings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing cutting-edge AI solutions, particularly in Generative AI or Agentic systems and natural language processing. This role requires a strategic thinker who is passionate about leveraging AI technologies to solve complex problems and deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of AI models and algorithms, focusing on LLM, generative AI, and Agentic AI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
Research and apply the latest advancements in NLP, RAG, and machine learning techniques.
Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines using Neo4j.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
Define best practices for AI development and ensure high-quality standards in AI solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in AI/ML development and implementation.
Proficiency in Machine Learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and tools.
Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and applications.
Hands-on experience with OpenAI technologies including GPT-3, DaVinci, Hugging Face
Code Generation (Cursor) knowledge/experience
Bonus points for: retrieval systems or vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate)
Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, and SQL.
Bonus points: LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI
