Mechanical Estimator

Position Overview
The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for evaluating project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to analyze project requirements to ensure successful bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work for mechanical systems.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and HVAC systems, including labor, materials, and overhead.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project details and requirements.
Research and analyze market trends to inform pricing strategies and ensure competitive bids.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
Maintain accurate records of estimates and documentation for future reference.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as an estimator in the mechanical or HVAC industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
