Project Manager/Estimator
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Salary: $90k-$125k
Position Overview
The Project Manager/Estimator will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves estimating project costs, managing resources, and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time
- Prepare accurate estimates for project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenditures to avoid overspending
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members regarding project status and any changes that occur
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff and team members as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Expertise in Heavy Civil construction, earthwork, and excavating projects
- Familiarity with estimating techniques and tools for highway and roadway construction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
