Position Overview
We design and manufacture custom doors and windows for luxury homes. We are looking for a Sr. Buyer / Planner who will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing processes within the organization, with a specific focus on aluminum and glass materials. This role requires strategic planning and execution of procurement initiatives to ensure the availability of materials while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies for aluminum and glass materials.
Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms.
Utilize ERP and MRP systems to track inventory levels and forecast material requirements.
Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure timely material delivery.
Conduct cost analysis and inventory management to identify potential savings opportunities.
Prepare and present purchasing reports and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications

5+ yrs of experience in purchasing or procurement in the fenestration industry (windows, doors, glazing, framing)
Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems, with strong Excel skills.
Demonstrated experience in aluminum and glass purchasing.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of cost analysis, inventory management, and strategic sourcing is a plus.
