Superintendent - USACE

Position Overview
The Superintendent - USACE will oversee construction projects for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and ensure that all work is performed according to specifications and within budget. The role includes managing on-site operations, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of construction projects for USACE and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, including EM-385 and ISO requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and safety records.
  • Manage and mentor construction crews, ensuring they are trained and prepared for their tasks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably with USACE, NAVFAC, or DoD projects.
  • Valid Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
  • Experience with hangar construction and facility management.
  • Certification as a Quality Control Manager (QCM) and Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) is preferred.
  • Experience with vertical construction projects in an Air Force Base (AFB) setting is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
