Tax Admin
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Admin to assist our tax department with various tax-related tasks, filing and preparation of 1120 and 1120-C returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Code financial statements using tax return codes to align directly with UltraTax, bypassing traditional trial balance grouping
- Prepare high volumes of cooperative/condo tax returns in UltraTax with the goal of achieving continued accuracy by year 2
- Work onsite under direct supervision from both a tax manager (for returns) and a partner (for financial statements)
- Process high volumes of tax extensions for designated staff members across the firm
- Handle repetitive administrative tasks across many clients, including document sorting, engagement prep, and inserting confirmations.
- Assist Tax Manager by organizing, preparing, and filings of cooperative/condo tax returns including 1120 & 1120-C
Qualifications
- Professional Experience in Public Accounting Tax Preparation or Compliance
- Experience with tax software and accounting systems and accounting bookkeeping
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- CPA / EA is preferred but not required
- BS in Accounting preferred (experience could substitute)
