Position Overview
The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role involves managing tax planning, tax return preparation, and providing guidance on tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation of federal and state tax returns for various entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, partnerships, and individuals.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, including GAAP standards.
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients in various industries such as real estate and dental.
• Review and analyze financial statements and tax returns to identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on tax accounting and preparation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes and their implications for the organization.
• Communicate with tax authorities regarding inquiries, audits, and appeals as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting and public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including experience with 1040, 1120S, 1120, and partnership returns.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Quickbooks and tax software for return preparation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
