Job Title: VP of Human Resources - General Contractor, Construction
Job Location:  North Dallas, Texas OR Little Rock, AR

Position Overview
The Vice President of Human Resources will oversee all aspects of human resources management within our general contracting firm. This role is crucial in developing and implementing HR strategies to support our business objectives, drive talent acquisition, and enhance employee engagement across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent in the construction industry.
  • Oversee performance management processes to ensure employee development and organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage labor relations and employee relations to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations relevant to human resources management.
  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives to improve workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and oversee benefits administration and payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to manage employee data and streamline HR processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, performance management, and labor relations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated ability in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements in HR management.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational development skills.
