Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager specializing in Heavy Civil Construction projects, particularly in relation to CALTRANS. The ideal candidate will oversee complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with CALTRANS standards.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Facilitate meetings to communicate project updates and coordinate efforts between teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction industry.
• Proven experience managing projects for CALTRANS or similar DOT agencies.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations pertaining to grading, concrete, paving, structures, and asphalt.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools. Preferabley HCSS and Vista Viewpoint
